Hi, Peter, I don't think that any electrical issue could do that (except a failure that makes the meter to always receive power from the battery, even with contact off, but this seems strange). I would bet that the meter is stuck (and would test the tapping method as Safrane suggest). In any case, if you disconnect the battery and the needle does not move from the center... then it is stuck for sure. I suppose that the meter alone is not sold as spare... usually it is the complete dashboard. Regards, Javier
