Hi,

I've always wanted a Biturbo and spotted this one on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260652312353&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_953wt_1137

It looks like a good project to me...but what do you, the 'maserati experts' think of it....is it viable to do?

Thanks in advance.

Rust is the killer of the Bi Turbo, so check it out closely including the inside of sills, wings etc also the front screen as well as the rear 1/4.

If its not rusty then invest in a inspection as the engine appears to have been left for a while with little attention.

Both of these could cost more than twice the value of the car, so tread with care.

Hi,

Thanks for that...what do you reckon it would make in regards to that description.

I'm just trying to work out my finances etc.;

Budget minimum for;
  • 2 x new door
  • 2 x front wings
  • 1 x bonnet
  • boot rams and hinges
  • body work
  • re-spray

Bill Mcgrath ltd may be able to give you prices for the parts, but ball park I would hasten for a good job if you can't DIY of £3k...but that only includes the body.

Another point to note is the electrics...they are shocking [no pun intended] and expect a lot of work needed to get them right.

Unless you are willing to invest a lot into the car, either ££££ or your own time [At least 1 year+ if you are not retired] go for one someone else has already fixed.
