Just wondered what the average   3200 owner  has as his 2nd / 3 rd  car   as  against what 4200 /gransport owners  have as there's

Have we tended to go for  an    economical run about  to make up for the thirsty  Masser or  was the emphasis  on reliability   or a mixture of  both

Or have some  chosen to live life dangerously and like living  life on the edge  by  running two temperamental beasts

regards loz

Well, saying as my 3200 is sort of my 2nd car as i really only get to use it on a weekend and the occasional night, my work van is my daily drive..

2004 Vivaro LWB (Middle one)

Also, my summer car, my Mini. It was my first car but couldn' bring myself to sell it, so restored it over the last few years.

And pre-spotlights

Don't have a daily driver as such, more whatever keys are to hand easily or choosing a car for the occasion/weather/purpose.

This is the only pic I can find of the currently depleted stable, family wagon hiding at the back. Must have just cleaned them all and been feeling very happy with myself!

I must say that I am using the Maserati more than I thought I would; it is more of a 'daily car' than I thought it would be.
Second car is Peugeot 407 Coupe - under-rated, loathed by Car magazine, but a sweet drive and very silent & comfortable. Like all my cars have been, bought new.
Finally my Renault 18 estate should be back 'on-road' again soon after a long lay-up. My first new car, bought in 1982 and , like Mark, I just sort of kept hold of it. Not a classic by any means but when was the last time any of you saw one on the road?

I know this is an old chestnut but:
Looking at the older cars members own makes me realise that
1) new cars are really very unimaginately styled.
2) any new models which are designed 'outside-the-box' have so much retro feel from previous past masters.

I am longing for someone to come up with something as revolutionary as a Citroen DS, or even a proper Mini.
Perhaps current world legislation precludes this from ever happening.

Other cars on the drive are Q7 3.0 TDI which star wifey gets to drive most of the time and a Saab 9.3 Vector 1.8T which is used for putting mileage on at work and keeping it off the 4200!

can't believe so many people with beautiful 'other' cars.

here's mine.took me two years nearly to get it to this.( still some work to do) and used the budget i had to repaint the masser to buy it....then the budget again to restore it ...then again

and again....

lollipop if anyone gets the correct model

This is my other car, costs a shade more in Norway than the 05 Cambiocorsa back in the UK, it's more frugal though...

pretty good mark-the lollipops' nearly yours.

you hedged your bets a bit though-there's enough clues on the truck to pin the model no. down
