Hi Ben,

In my opinion it is better to buy replacement OEM wipers from either a main dealer or somewhere like eurospares.

Yes, thay are a tad expensive, But you get what you pay for!!

I went the cheap 'flat style' from tesco's...they look sort of nice, but are rubbish.

I then bought Bosch wipers...medium price, but still found them to be poor...

So now I am back to OEM (a few quid lighter) and very happy!!

Regards,

Enzo.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the advice. I went down the OEM route in the end.

For my QP, i went with the contoured more modern design blades which in my opinion are much better, aside from being cheaper, they clear the windscreen much more thoroughly. However, they tend to be more visible at rest as they are taller and thus are not obscured by the end of the bonnet as well as OEM. On a side note, the blades are needlessly complicated to remove and refit, even the manual says, go to dealer to replace, ludicrous...

HI xxxpres,

So any pointers on fitting them or do you think it is best to go to a dealer?

Honestly, it took me about two days on and off fiddling with it till the original blades came off. I don't think its worth going to the dealer for this but all I can give in terms of advise from what I remember is that the OEM blades lock into place on the arms with a pivoting clamp. The trick is figuring out what direction you have to push and pull them to make them release. Its very hard to distinguish between the portion attached to the arm and the portion attached to the blade. Try looking at the instructions supplied with your new blades for some sort of guide as to what goes where. I used a brand called ANCO, they work great but as I said, they do stick up a bit more than the stock ones. Good luck.
