Just a quick one for anyone who uses Zymol & may want to try something else ;)

Zynol was used for the first 3 years of my cars life & although the finish was good when applied I was never really that impressed with the longevity, 2 months for Royale (not cheap) & it was gone, that equates to about twenty washes 2k miles, these were always applied by professional detailers recommended by Zymol.

Back in March I had Emblems Greg do a paint correction and Swissvax application, it is now 4 months later.... over 30 washes, 2 euro trips & the wax is clearly still on there and doing a grand job, I am very impressed to say the least & definitely a convert.

Be interested if anyone else has found the same....

I tend to re-wax every other wash anyway so Zymol works for me. The Maserati was detailed with a Zaino sealant and that seemed to be very durable.

Greg recently talked me into trying Swissvax on a diy basis; it's not cheap, but is impressive. Time will tell what the durability is like.

Had my 4200 done by Clifton car care, Bristol, with Swissvax...would not use anything else again, or after my trip to Europe [2000k], need to.

How much did the job cost, Pete?
Might consider a visit myself.

Paul,

Had the full works done, but did not need paint correction;

Inside; Leather conditioned, carpets cleaned, windows and all plastics.
Outside; Mystry Wax, wheels, chrome

All in it was £320...its a lot but I think it's worth it. He started at 08:00am ish and finished at almost 8:00pm! I had only had the car three days from the dealer so it was not exactly dirty...but it looked 100% better after Zaff had finished...one word of caution, he talks a lot!

He has prices on his site...
