Its all bent.

A few years ago, I bought some shares in a company that was troubled, but looking at the books, were not as troubled as the price suggested.  About 2 weeks after I bought the shares, it was delisted and I eventually lost all my money.  Why?  Because the property the company OWNED was re-valued and as a result breached some guarantees.  The valuer then became the disposal agent who cherry picked the good properties and sold them all to one other comapny, leaving the rubbish properties to devalue and sit empty.

Shocking unethical behaviour - ruthless money driven ****, the lot of them!

No, it was an Irish bank of some sort, part of GMAC (is that what is was called - GM's banking arm?).  I believe CBRE were involved though.
