Another request ! - has anyone got knowledge / feedback regarding extended warranties for a 3200GT? - I know of only two companies ( other than some main dealers ) that will cover Maseratis - Warranty Wise and Warranty Works - the former, I have had good experience, the latter, I don't know about other than they seem reputable.
Any comments would be very welcome.

No experience yet, but I am still with Trident warranty till mid Mar '06.

I'd like to stay with them because they have been brilliant and helpful. Of-course it's as long as the renewal price is reasonable!

Trident warranty no longer exists

I tired hard to get them to renew but nothing.... so I am warrantless at the moment. I have been looking around and found Verdi may be the cheapest but I heard that may not be a good idea cos it is labour rate based.

As it is the lamnda sensors that goes often I took out AA top cover and took the extra option of up to £500 claim (x5 limit in one year) cover towards breakdown. And added one year European cover.

At least that is something for now....

Stick with Warranty Wise. Having just had experience with them (throttle potentiometer replacement), they were fantastic. Even Meridien were somewhat surprised by their helpfulness and efficiency!

does anyone have web link or phone number for warranty wise?
Are there really only two compaies who accept cover on this car?
Not certain that spending almost £1000 per year gives me peace of mind, but most people seem to do it on the 3200.

thanks for the tip, been quoted £1283 for 12 month cover on my 2001 3200Gt AC. Had to pay extra to cover repairs carried out at main dealer rates1 Where else can the car go if it so broken I need to claim on a warranty?
Still not sure I want to spend up fron on repairs - might start saving the £100 per month right now, plus a bit more for servicing and tyres.

You might be right it would be intersting to know the average claims for these cars and the average annual repair costs excluding services. warranties can be dead money if you have no claims, grat peace of mind and cost savers if there is a major failure ( subject to the small print ) I guess the equation is anticipated period of ownership x cost of insurance divided by likely repair costs. Might need an actuary for that little lot!
