Hi there,

My Becker Cascade head unit has just died rather spectacularly, and I've had to replace it. This means I have an almost new Becker Remote Kit for iPod/iPhone for sale, that I bought for €90 back in June.

This is the official Becker kit, part #2034.646 which is the latest version and is compatible with all iPods up to and including the iPhone 3GS (I believe it also works with iPhone 4). It is compatible with the Becker Cascade, Mexico, Indianapolis and Grand Prix. I installed it myself, and its really easy....running the cable into the glove box. I also have the Becker release keys if you need them to get the unit out.....

Before I stick it on eBay, anyone interested for £40? PM me!

Cheers
d

Hi, will that part work on the Maserati branded infotainment unit too? Also is there a car stereo place you would recommend in London, I'd like to improve on the sound in my car. It is going into HROwen on Monday but i suspect that would not be the best option. Thanks in advance!

Nahoc,

The great thing about the GS (and 3600 for that matter) is that it has a standard head unit, not like the 4200. This means any standard unit will fit in...I just replaced my broken Cascade with a nice Kenwood BT60U as it also has Bluetooth and iPod (don't need the Satnav, Tom Tom much better!). My GS had the Auditorium upgrade in it, so the amp and speakers are already pretty good, but any car audio specialist can do you upgrades easily. The only thing that is painful is the amp, because that may involve rewiring the car as the Maserati unit is a bit non-standard (as the bloke in the audio ship told me!).

The guys I used are in Bracknell and called Nice Ice installations....£45, job done! I bought the head unit from Radio Road, but there are a couple of huge online retailers that are very cheap like Car Audio Center, and Dynamic Sounds.

Hope this helps!
Cheers
d
