Who do people recommend for insurance for newer maserati's? I'm currently with Gren light who came recommended by RS246.com but I've just spoken to them & the cars I'm looking at are above their maximum value :(

So far I've looked at:
Admiral - good
Elephant - good
Direct line - moderate but not cheap
Tesco - ouch

Any more suggestions?

I use Mayfair Insurance - a Porsche specialist broker that got me a good deal when I transferred to the Maserati. Underwritten by RSA.

Quote provided by 'A' Plan!

I use Frizzel at the moment (Liverpool Victoria I think they're part of) and they quoted abot £650 for a 2 yr old 4200.  I tend to swap each year as I get a better deal but I've used these guys 2-3 times now.

Sorry if this has been done to death in the past, but we are taking delivery of our Granturismo next month and have been obtaing quotes for insurance as Norwich Union said they were not interested in insuring cars like this.

So far we have had several quotes around the £1,100.00 mark and one at £957.00, all of which seem rather expensive when comparred to our Aero 8. We live in the Windsor area, and my wife (in whose name the car will be registered) has full no-claim, clean licence, will do a limited mileage (under 5,000 miles), etc. Are these quotes realisitic or is it possible to get cheaper quotes from any major company or brokers?

Perhaps some other Granturismo owners can let me have thier experience. Thanks.

a-plan seems to be either really good or really bad :) well worth a shout as lots of guys recommend them. I suspect a general shop around is in order though

In the latest Trident there is is an advertisment by a company called adrian flux insurance 0845 1303400, I will give them a call myself to see if their impressive claims hold water. Like Steve I've so far found Churchill to be the cheapest.

I am using Maserati Insurance, it is run by Marsh and they came in under everyone else, including A Plan. The good thing was that I had my Porsche insured with Porsche Insurance and spotted that it was run by Marsh as well, so one quick phone call confirmed that that they do a lot of manufacturer insurance covers and they switched me from Porsche to Maserati and got a 350 rebate as the Maser was cheaper

Thanks guys, I am still shopping around and so far the cheapest (with a reputable insurance company) is Michael Ward at £890.00. I just have a couple of quotes to come in and then we can proceed, as we take delivery during the middle of April 2008.

Check with Adrian Flux Insurance.... cheapest I could find and I get a free magazine from them (influx) every now and again, makes a great toilet read!

My Maserati is insured with them, around £400 fully comprehensive with my wife on it too. With the AA I have opted for the extra breakdown insurance of £500 per claim & five times a year claim at a cost of £88.
