Er no Steve, not moved. Perhaps you hit it at a peak time when there were 30+ logged on users and 264 visitors? naturally it would slow down due to a database being heavily accessed. Every now again the system auto backups and cleans itself therefore slowing down. Since I started this forum 3 years ago the dynamic database driven bespoke system has only failed once, so pretty good going I think. Have fun and catch you around some day...

Once the webserver has been running for a few days since last restart Gavin, simultaneous usage should not affect your performance unduly assuming Users are accessing unamended pages previously requested by at least one other User. Pages are read from cache in priority over a database read. An online defrag / backup is another matter however
