Good to hear Loz,

I mentioned the re-furb to Emblem today for those of us who prefer our knuckles to remain intact or have no acess to a ramp/pit.

Enjoy the hols, you deserve it.

Interested to hear there reaction Peter , was going to ring Myles again and roberto and andy from millbrook cars and sound them out to hand over a few old pumps so Multitruck could do a faster turn around off the shelf so to speak, will get round to it when i get back

Hi Maf new pump being fitted  by Emblem as i type , old pump returned to multitruck  and was completely burnt out inside , why we dont know yet , had a new relay fitted the first time it went and on the day it seemed sound enough and was not staying on intermittently , so gave the go ahead yesterday for new pump  and Lamda sensor to be done ,   should be all up and running and be back amongst the stable in the next few days or early next week,  The black 06 Gs has now gone to an aussie owner and being shipped to OZ   so he'll have a real bargain once the taxes are paid .

The quest will go on for   an Aston/ tourismo or other exotic  warming to the idea of a quattroporte   but i think a little bit tankish and it,ll mean i have to take people about   to make good use of it

regards  loz

I have been told early db9s are going for low £40k in the trade. God knows how much a bent one goes for alot less than that surely.

I dont know how much it was going to cost to put that GS right, I imagine a few thousand. That being the case and it being a catd I dont think it was worth £20k with the market as it is at the moment unless you kept it for years.

Whatever you think a car is worth take £6k off it then remember you wont be able to trade it against anything. With these sort of cars anyway. I was looking round yesterday and its barmy the money that is comming off prestiege metal.

Loz...can you up-date on this...fill us in as to why the refurbed pump burnt out, did you get it redone again.....relay was ok, new pump bought via Eurospares.....?

Are Multitruck still refurbing them.....same price, turnaround?

Cheers, P

Much as i hate to admit it ,i think it was a my own fault ,    what i think i did was try out my new relay before i fitted the refurbed pump , then after fitting the new refurbed pump    like an idiot   not realising the new relay was already in place  swapped themover    hence  putting back the possible faulty relay   which lasted up to a month and 400 miles and a bloody good track day   but went just before last  session        so had her towed to emblem   from  Goodwood    and got them  to send the original refurbed pump back   and supply  a new one  and another new relay

No trouble  since   tho she's only done 4000 miles in a year ,   Gs has sort of taken precedence for the time being

Motto of this post is          acccept  idiosyncracies gracefully  as you get old    its only money     and wev'e had a whole lifetime  earning it

I see.....it happens....hence a dot of Tippex or some such on the old part!

But they still refurbish them, similar price, turaround time, you'd recommend...have any others tried the same refurb route.... etc?
