Thanks  and Yeah fully aware  Nigel ,

and exactly the reason ive taken the route that i have ,    A P Racing are owned by Brembo  but are their specialist racing / research and development company

Brembo just produce and sell for the mass market   , with AP racing   you can fine tune what you want  in all aspects, hard to get any info from Brembo   what does what , whereas   im dealing and  speaking to the guys that actually make and fit  the brakes  to 18 of the F1 cars  most top rally cars ,  not only do they know there stuff  and they are so helpful  and enthuasistic ,  Installs me with confidence  to take it further ,

Just buying an expensive big brake  kit , whether Brembo or Tarox  etc   doesn't enthrall me  unless i understand what does what and why         you could be buying something thats just bigger  and doesn't really enhance the braking  or breeds other problems     (even worse   not worth the )   AP  are  explaining to me  right through the process  of what does what and why

regards loz

Good to catch up on this thread!

Loz, any decision yet on the colours? The scheme I have seen on the GT racer just looks wonderful, as Bigfoot sayd the Bianco pearl Fuji white with blue detailing. I always wanted to make my car two tone as well, but those would be the colours, muchlike the MC-12 road car. Very, very nice.

Brakes sound good, the standard Brembos are good but it's a heavy car - I ran out of talent driving through Switzerland last summer and the brakes only just bailed me out of that but it was close. A bit more stopping power would be good, but won;t you need better road contact i.e. wider or stickier tyres to cope with the extra forces?

Hi lewis , Unfortunately  80% of the micro blisters  were sorted by putting the car through a  machine called an Arc   seemed to do the job  and nothing un towards shown up since  so ended up just having the bonnet resprayed in the end   a little gutted was warming to the idea of the Pearl  especially as it would of only cost me an extra  £600    but hey   it wasn't to be

Re the brakes  waiting to hear anytime now ,  AP are goint to town , there confident they can increase stopping power by 30% at least  , and with the far superior heat dispersal  fade will be virtually negligible   pinkies crossed

regards loz
