Oooooh that bought my competitive spirit out! If I take the insurance premium tax off my mine is £502.25!

A-plan seem to be a long way ahead, yours is certainly good.

Actually not sure mine gives any real comparison because it is a Spyder.

The other question is excesses I have a compulsory of £500 and £60 on Windscreens I also have a voluntary £100....but I can't remember why!

Bazza seems to have the cheapest deal.

There was a time when I used to do 35 to 40k miles a year but those days are long gone. Had Saab turbos and then the M3 back then.

The Spyder has just had it's second anniversary with me and I have done just under 16K in those two years so I will consider reducing my mileage limit to 10K or even 9K on renewal in September. Mileage limits always seem to help knock holes in insurance.

My other car is a pick up and that does about 6K!

Would normally always recommend A-Plan, but due to a small claimette a couple of years ago, the insurance company (Service) obviously wanted to reclaim some of it's money!
Was with Churchill last year, but this year have gone with Chris Knott (use them for a couple of Alfas), and they seemed pretty desparate to get my business this year - £650 that's 1 claim (but protected), and a clean record, parked on a drive, mileage < 8000/yr 42 yrs old.

BTW a story about Admiral Insurance (and why I refuse to ever use them).....
A young oick in a Peugot 406 (with all the side skirts etc.) ran into the side of my alfa spider  about 5 years ago, taking front offside wing, door skin and gouging rear quarter nicely, also scratching front offside wheel. Wheels were not available new any more and had to have a different wheel supplied. The rub is, obviously with one wheel different, I wanted 3 others the same.....
Yes, you've guessed it, the insurance company wouldn't pay up for the 3 wheels and I had to buy them (in hindsight would have gone for a refurb, knowing now that the damage would have ben repairable). Took legal advice, but apparently this is correct, they only have to pay to 'make good' and not replace 3 other perfect wheels with others.
