I arranged a photo shoot with my 4200 at the weekend. My wheels and grill had just been refurb'd and I thought it was a good chance to get some good pics done.

Wow Stuart - great mods - loving the black alloys with the gunmetal bodywork ... so cool!

The mesh grill we like, the wing badges are classy (as always), tasty numberplate, but I am not sure about the perspex insert in the bonnet

Hi there,

just a small question re; wheel re-furb, how much do you pay over there for all 4 rims?  I will need to get my 3200GT AC wheels done at some point but it will be costly down here in OZ, as is all things Maserati!

Cheers,

Hi Terry, I paid around £330 but that included stripping the wheels down to the bare metal and then rebuilding the surface including a powder layer and all sorts. The wheels were gone for a fortnight. The same guys have done Ferrari wheels for my detailer so he knew I could trust in the result.

Hope you don't get stung too badly, you need to find some nice Eastern European immigrants with the right skills base and a more realistic approach to pricing.

Hi Nikos,

The young guy who took the photos has a Nikon D60. Not a professional camera but what he lacks in equipment he certainly seems to make up for in ability.

Thanks, Adam. This car would almost be in your price range as well. Tried to trade it in recently and was offered £11K! Okay, the car is a 2002 but there are 26K miles on the clock and it has a full and spotless Maserati service history.

Of course your challenge would then be to find an insurance company that wouldn't charge more than you paid for the car to insure it.
